Waterloo, ON – October 30th, 2024– In collaboration with the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA), CHASKA is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest location at the University of Waterloo’s Student Life Centre. As the first Zero Carbon Emission restaurant on campus, Chaska Waterloo demonstrates a commitment to sustainable practices, featuring innovative, gas-less stoves and fryers that reduce environmental impact while bringing a flavorful, fast-casual dining option to the university community.
The new location introduces students, faculty, and staff to Chaska’s beloved Indian street food experience, featuring signature dishes like Kathi Rolls, Pav Bhaji, and Masala Fries. This expansion also represents Chaska’s second university location, joining the popular Chaska York University spot in serving students across Ontario.

In addition to delicious dining, Chaska Waterloo is also creating economic opportunities on campus by adding over 25 part-time positions, exclusively available to Waterloo undergraduates. Chaska is dedicated to fostering connections with students both as customers and team members, enriching the campus community.
Chaska’s menu is crafted to cater to a range of tastes and dietary preferences, with Halal meat, and vegetarian + vegan options available. With the launch of this new location, Chaska aims to provide students with a quick and flavourful escape between classes, group meetings, and campus events, all in the lively atmosphere of the Student Life Centre.
